EB-3, Professionals, Skilled Workers and Other Workers

In order to apply for permanent residency under EB-3 Visa, applicant must be one of the following:

Professionals
Applicant must hold a US baccalaureate degree or foreign equivalent that is required for the profession. Education and experience may not substitute for the degree. Members of the professions include, but are not limited to architects, engineers, lawyers, physicians, surgeons, and teachers in elementary, secondary schools, colleges, academies or seminaries.

Skilled Workers
Skilled worker positions require at least 2 years of experience or training. The training may be met through post-secondary education. The Labor Certification Form states the job requirements that determine whether it is skilled or unskilled.

Other Workers
Other workers are in positions that require less than 2 years of education, training or experience. There are extreme backlogs for this visa category--- currently it is about 6 years.
