Mountain Lakes Hospital
Clayton, Georgia
This project is part of the Georgia Center for Foreign Investment and Development LLC Regional Center. Investment shall be made in Clayton. Threshold investment required is $500,000 for each of the 28 available partnership slots.

The project involves moving the hospital to a new facility in a better location and selling the existing site. Mountain Lakes Hospital (MLH) is already in operation and is part of the Rabun County community. New land is being purchased at a significant discount. The location of the current facility is no longer advantageous as the business center has shifted to the main highway; therefore it will be moved to Clayton (near Wal-Mart), a convenient drive from the major metro areas of Atlanta, Asheville, Greensville and Chattanooga. Georgia Power has arranged for the sale of 50 acres of land to build the new hospital on the main highway that connects Clayton to Atlanta. Clayton has experienced rapid growth over the past 10 years and the existing facilities had been outgrown by the community’s needs. No other hospital can be built in the area because only MLH has the permissible Certificate of Need. It will be managed and operated by InMed Group, Inc. InMed was founded in 1994 and is headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama, a company that provides high quality medical service through a multi-disciplinary healthcare organization with solid reputation and strong track record as healthcare providers.
