EB-3 is the best immigration option for unskilled workers that want to live in the USA. Differently from other U.S. visas for workers, like J1, H1B, H2B, the EB-3 grants applicants with Permanent Residency. Also, EB-3 has fewer requirements in comparison to the EB-1 and EB-2. The EB-1 accepts foreign nationals with ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics; professors and researchers; or certain multinational managers and executives. While the EB-2 accepts foreign nationals who are members of the professions holding advanced degrees or who have an ability (including requests for national interest waivers).
The EB-3 program has very few requirements. Such as, candidates must have a permanent valid job offer. Also, they must able to perform unskilled labor (required less than 2 years training or experience). And the job position cannot be temporary or seasonal. Finally, candidates should acquire a Labor Certification from the Department of Labor (Form ETA-9089).
The processing time can vary according to nationality. Overall, you can expect your EB3 processing time to be about a year and a half to two years. Due to the per-country quotas of US government, there are long delays for nationals of China, and India. As such, employers are not willing to take candidates of these nationalities.
